At Treworgans Accessible Holiday Cottages in Cornwall, each cottage includes a profiling bed and a ceiling hoist, designed to make your stay as comfortable and independent as possible.

Every wheelchair-accessible bedroom features an ensuite wet room with a level-access wheel-in shower, a toilet with a drop-down support rail, and a wash basin with clear underspace for easy wheelchair use. The non-slip flooring ensures safety, and guests can choose from a wide range of shower chairs to meet individual requirements. All other bedrooms also include ensuite bathrooms for added convenience.

Each cottage’s fully equipped accessible kitchen features a hob that can be lowered if required, along with a clear underspace to allow easy access for wheelchair users.

The private patio areas provide outdoor tables, chairs, and BBQs, giving you a relaxing space to enjoy the fresh Cornish air and beautiful countryside views.

All properties include free Wi-Fi, so you can stay connected and plan your Cornish adventures with ease.

We provide a wide range of mobility and accessibility equipment for guests to use free of charge during their stay at our accessible holiday cottages in Cornwall. When booking, please let us know which items you’d like to reserve so we can ensure everything is ready for your arrival.

We offer two, four-section electric profiling beds (maximum user weight 145 kg), each with optional bed sides and soft, full-length bumpers if required. The beds include a Trendelenburg function, allowing the frame to tilt both forwards and backwards for added comfort and support.

Each profiling bed can be paired with either a Softform Active 2 dynamic air pressure mattress or a Softform Premier pressure-relieving foam mattress, depending on your individual needs.

For easy transfers, we provide two ceiling track hoists (160 kg limit) with straight tracks from bed to wheelchair or shower chair. We also supply two portable electric hoists (160 kg limit) and an Invacare ISA Standard Stand Aid (160 kg limit) for standing transfers.

Please bring your own sling if you plan to use the ceiling hoist, portable hoist, or stand aid — all hoists use standard Oxford-type attachment points.

We offer a wide range of additional mobility and support equipment, all available for guests to use during their stay:

• Two dual motor riser–recliner chairs for added comfort and ease of movement

• Self-propelled wheeled shower chairs and assisted wheeled shower chairs

• Invacare Dual VIP tilting shower chair for flexible positioning

• Commode attachments for the shower chairs listed above

• Non-wheeled shower chair or stool for seated showering

• Sara Stedy to assist with safe standing transfers

• EasyLeaver bed rail for additional bedside support

• Over-bed table for convenience and accessibility

• Monkey pole to aid repositioning in bed

• Table and bed leg raisers, suitable for use with beds, kitchen tables, sofas, or armchairs

• Toilet seat risers available in 2″, 4″, or 6″ (please note: the toilet in Buzzard Watch is already raised)

• Portable toilet surround rail for additional support

• Standing patient turner to assist with controlled transfers

• Portable alarm system for peace of mind
